I have decided to do "Theme Thursday" for April! We started this last year, when the pandemic was new, and we were attempting to make it fun <wow that seems crazy>. Today's theme is Aperativo! Or cocktail hour. This beauty is a "Hugo". A gorgeous summer afternoon treat!
Hugo
30ml of elderflower cordial
1 splash of soda water
Prosecco, to top up
ice
fresh mint
lime
Scoop a handful of ice into a large wine glass along with some torn mint leaves
Add the elderflower cordial with a splash of soda water then top up with Prosecco
Give a quick stir and garnish with a wedge of lime and a sprig of mint.
Pretend you are in a rooftop bar in the Oltrarno in Florence, listening to the church bells ring, and the sun beginning to set. Add small bowls of salty peanuts and rippled potato chips, legs tired from walking miles on the cobblestones.
Perfection in a cocktail.
Sounds delish!
Oh my that sounds devine!
This sounds perfectly delightful!
